Big News Network.com Saturday 13th July, 2013

It's been dubbed the world's biggest building and can hold 20 Sydney Opera Houses.

And the New Century Global Centre in China's Sichuan province is the only place you can ice skate, sleep in a five star hotel and catch some sun on the beach, without ever stepping outside.

A huge man-made lake has been designed outside the main building

The newly-built glass dome is also three times the size of the Pentagon Building in Washington, D.C.

According to reports, the building is 500 metres long, 400 metres wide and 100 metres high and is the size of Monaco.

Tropical palm trees feature heavily inside the building which covers an astonishing 19 million sq ft and contains office spaces, shopping centres, a 14-screen IMAX cinema and a water park called "Paradise Island."

The beach can hold up hold 6,000 people and a giant LED screen projects a faux shoreline and ocean.

Vast ornate buildings can be found inside the New Century Global Centre

What's more, visitors to the glass-panelled building don't have to worry about the weather as the giant complex has its own fake sun which will shine 24 hours a day.

The colossal building took three years to complete and Chinese officials say it's the world's largest standalone structure.

The building is opposite the Chengdu Contemporary Arts Centre, designed by British-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid.
